Defense Against the Dark Arts Task.
Ghost based off from an original ghost that appeared in the movie : harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Gho…
It was kind of late before I realized he was supposed to be transparent OTL
I am not that creative when it comes to writing so, I'll just throw in facts after skimming through his wiki hahaha //chokes
Also lazy so I picked an actual ghost in the film, he appeared in the Prisoner of Azkaban.
The things written below are mostly made up.

Name : Richard "Dick" Turpin

Date of death : April 7, 1739

Cause of death : Sentenced to death on two charges of Horse Theft.

Age at death : 34

Reason of stay : Dick was an English highwayman, who was infamous for joining a gang of deer thieves and later became a poacher, burglar, horse thief and murderer. He was mostly found riding his dark horse named Black Bess around Hogwarts jumping through one of the windows in the Entrance Hall, making quite an impression as ghostly pieces of broken glass fly without doing any actual harm to the window before riding into the Great Hall.  He held in one hand a severed head as he was being chased by another ghost Knight on a horse. His reason for stay was that he had stolen a man's head without returning it before he died, unsure where exactly in Hogwarts did he bury the thing. He also chose not to cross the other side as he felt like he was wrongly accused and should have been sentenced to death with a far more better reason than 'Horse Theft'--and also, did I mention he refused to return someone else's head?

He was truly...a real 'dick'

When Quinn first saw the ghost of the highwayman make such an entrance, flailing that decapitated head in the air while riding away on this awesome black horse, laughing maniacally as he was being chased by a different ghost, he knew that he had to interview him. The ghost was obviously a rogue and wasn't like any other ghost who had a sappy sob story to tell.

The gryffindor wasn't able to get that much information out of the ghost as he was always up and about and he had to time it whenever he appears and disappears. The highwayman was more than happy to give him information tho as long Quinn kept up his pace while he rode his horse. Quinn came by the halls everyday to run with after him and ask one question at a time before he vanishes into one of the walls of the Great Hall.
