Lucky enough to be plucked out of the slums at a young age, Evelyn strived to transform herself into a daughter her adopted father would be proud of, intelligent and lady-like. She is smart, hardworking, and believes that anyone can be successful if one puts their best efforts into making their own dreams come true. She is kind to her friends and is especially caring towards her father, even if she has a few troubles showing her affection towards him at times.

Although, Evelyn, or Evie, as a few close friends tend to call her, hold herself in an elegant air at first glance, she can be rather sassy and confrontational when it comes to handling antagonistic personalities. If she does not like you, she will show it in her face and would not hold back in saying her thoughts when needed. She is spoiled and dislikes having to bend over for someone. Despite her immature points, Evie is loyal to those she respects and when proven wrong, apologies coming from her are due and sincere.

She can be rather dramatic and moody when left alone with people she is comfortable with, displaying a fragility she hides underneath the pretense of confidence and elegance, since after all... beneath the shiny jewelry and branded clothes, is a girl who is, and forever will be from the slums.

<sub>Han Ruri was a girl who grew up in a poor family, where both her young parents had no permanent job or a house of their own. Despite this, her parents had high hopes for her future but everything came crumbling apart when the family's debt became insurmountable with her mothers' sickness and the hospital bills, as well as other things. Her father had a choice of keeping her but due to necessity, decided to give her away when an opportunity came to be adopted by a rich French man. Han Ruri, legally became Evelyn Lemieux at the young age of 5; she was sent to live in France with her new father. She always knew she was adopted and her adopted father never shied away from giving answers when she was old enough to ask questions. Although at first she despised being adopted, she had come to terms that this was her best option and she should be thankful for the new life given to her.  

Years passed and Evie had grown to be a studious student despite being deathly spoiled by her adopted father. She studied Mandarin, since her father didn't want her to forget her own roots. Fast forward to the current year, Ethan Lemieux had an urgent business project in Taiwan where he needed to go back to work on stuff personally. Despite tumultuous thoughts nagging at the back of her mind, like being disowned and/or thrown back to the slums again, Evie hesitantly agrees to come with her dad. Due to lack of time to weigh in academe options, and the stress of moving in in the middle of school enrollments, her dad had decided to enroll her to the nearest school, the most practical option. A few blocks away from their new humble abode, in walking distance, was a small neighborhood high school, where Evie hesitantly took exams and got qualified for second-year status; if she ever disliked it, she can always shift to a private school next year.

Being back to her original home country has given her mixed feelings, both fear, and anxiety about staying; she has no plans on revisiting her old town or knowing her old family at the moment. Han, Ruri is only a memory of what she once was, and at the moment, she is more focused on acquiring high grades, adapting to a new school environment, re learning her original culture, and surviving day to day. 

tl;dr: Born poor, got adopted by rich dad, lived in France but recently came back due to business relations. Has no plans on visiting original fam or acknowledging the past; prioritizes surviving school and adapting to new environment at the moment.</sub>

<sub>- She likes skin care a lot and is addicted to face masks. She takes really good care of herself and her appearance, wears very minimal makeup.
- She often goes shopping for dainty things and fashion; she adores singing and karaoke too but is tone deaf.
- Past times include watching new kdramas and reading books. Lately, its kdramas because she left her book collection in France; resorts to ebooks when available.
- Her favorite subject is math and english, dislikes history (because memorization) and sees it as boring; doesnt do well with PE too.
- Approachable and friendly but doesn't trust people too easily. She can be rather judgemental and fickle with who she hangs out with. (pls be friends with her //cry)
- Wears the school uniform properly, buttons all up, tie set in place. Suffers a bit during extremely humid weather because of it.
- Because her house is close by, she walks back home and always has an umbrella to protect her from the sun or rain.
- Favorite food is fried chicken...flavored fried chicken especially. Is very much up to trying local cuisines and street food tho!
- She can be a real b*tch if you poke her wrong. Would curse in French.</sub>
